Muhammad (Arabic: مُحَمَّد, pronounced [muħammad]; c. 570 CE – 8 June 632 CE) was a religious, social, and political leader born in Arabia. He was also the founder of the “religious lifestyle”known as Islam. Accordingly, he was a prophet sent to preach and confirm the monotheistic teaching preceded by Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets.
