Islam, according to the Quran, teaches love and compassion for every human being, no matter their religion, says Imam, Mekye Abdus Salaam. Imam Mekye believes that the problems for the majority of Muslims (and even people in general) are that many groups are following or adhering to traditions and/or superstitions invented centuries after Divine Revelation was first revealed and those traditions and/or superstitions have gotten more radical over time.

The Holy Quran stands as a constant reminder to us all on the power of devotion and faith towards Allah – which in turn is often represented through our deep love for God. Loving God can enable you to truly worship and devote yourself to faith, and this can manifest in loving God’s creation.

  1. The Bible says many things about this. The end time is near, stating the return of Jesus: (Matthew 24:8-13)…
“[8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

So this love topic should be expected to be cold…
