ISLAM…

It’s more than a religion: It’s a way of life. Moreover, it’s a lifestyle that befits this day and age.

I hear people say negative things about Muslims and/or Islam almost everyday. The funny thing about it all is that those same people know very little, if anything, about being Muslim or adhering to the religion of Islam.

All of what they think they know comes from the media or what some of the misguided converts (to Islam) present as a representation.

• I’m told that Muslims worship a different God than Christians & Jews.
• I’m told that Muslims don’t believe in Christ or that he is the Messiah.
• I’m told that Muslims don’t believe in the Holy Spirit.
• I’m told that the Islamic law (i.e. The Shari’ah) is extreme and antiquated. That Muslims should get with the times.
• I’m told that the Islamic teachings of decorum & modesty are excessive and over the top.
• I’m told that the Islamic apparel or dress is not necessary today in America.
• Lastly, I’m told that the Islamic family dynamic or structure oppresses the woman and shelters the children from the real world.

My response (with all due respect) to all of you who say things like this is “SHUT THE HELL UP” if you don’t truly know what you’re talking about.

God set rules for ALL of humanity. The problem is that most of us want to ignore or disobey Him. Islam is simply trying to remind you that He is still there and that one day you are going to be held accountable for what you say and do.

This is what happens to families who don’t prepare their love ones for the real world. Who simply go with the times. Who are not strictly enforcing the rules of obedience, modesty and decorum in their homes. I’m not saying that every Muslim family is exempt from such a travesty but I bet YOU can’t speak of one Islamic scenario like this.

Muslim children fear God’s wrath and strive to receive His rewards/promises. Plain and simple…if they won’t listen to you about God’s Love & Mercy, they will listen to the whispers of the devil!
