Celebrating Educational Excellence Through Interfaith Collaboration: A Reflection on the S.A.Y. Program and St. John Academy

At Interfaith Library Inc., we recognize that the foundation of a thriving, compassionate society is rooted in accessible, inclusive, and transformative education. It is within this spirit that we proudly endorse initiatives such as the S.A.Y. (Save A Youth) Program and St. John Academy—programs that exemplify the power of interfaith cooperation to nurture the intellectual, moral, and social development of our youth.
This year, we celebrate a remarkable milestone: 89 percent of students participating in the S.A.Y. Program achieved success on their End-Of-Grade (EOG) assessments, with over half earning scores of 4 or higher. For two decades, the S.A.Y. Program has served as a steadfast model and example for hope and opportunity, guiding students not only to academic achievement—an impressive 90 percent pass rate on EOGs—but also empowering them to become active, contributing members of their communities, many of whom have gone on to excel across diverse professional fields.
Our support for such initiatives emanates from our core belief that education is a universal bridge—transcending religious, cultural, and societal boundaries—to forge understanding, respect, and shared purpose. Programs like S.A.Y. exemplify how interfaith collaboration can create nurturing environments where young minds flourish, confidence is cultivated, and lifelong habits of learning are instilled.
As we prepare to launch St. John Academy this August, we are inspired by the profound potential of faith-inspired education to elevate individuals and communities alike. St. John Academy is designed to build upon the successes of the S.A.Y. Program, offering a comprehensive educational experience that emphasizes self-confidence, disciplined study habits, and moral integrity—values that resonate across all faiths and traditions.
While the S.A.Y. Afterschool Program will continue to serve as a vital resource, we encourage families and educators to consider the opportunities presented by St. John Academy. We believe that by investing in education rooted in moral and upstanding principles, we cultivate a future where engagement, understanding, and cooperation are the cornerstones of a harmonious society.
In the spirit of interfaith cooperation, let us remember that true education is a collective endeavor—one that elevates the mind and spirit, bridges divides, and unites us in our shared pursuit of wisdom and compassion. Together, through active engagement and mutual respect, we can build a world where learning becomes the sacred pathway to peace and understanding for all.
